The practice
We believe a building should feel obvious in hindsight. Our work begins with what a place already knows about itself: its brick, its light, its stubborn party walls. We draw slowly, build carefully, and stay involved long after practical completion.

Featured project
Fenwick Foundry
A 1911 iron foundry in Deptford, reworked as workspace for forty makers. The retained steel trusses carry a new cross-laminated timber gallery, and the brick skin is being repaired with eleven thousand reclaimed London stocks. Planning was granted in March 2026; we start on site this autumn.

A studio of eighteen
Founded in 2011 in a railway arch in Haggerston, the practice now works from Perseverance Works in Shoreditch. Directors lead every project from first meeting to final account, and most of the studio has been here longer than five years.
