The barn, the band and the bar are booked. All that's missing is your reply.
Saturday 12 September
The Day
One barn, one long afternoon, nowhere else to be.
- 2.00 PM
The ceremony
Seats from half past one. Martha will be on time; nobody has told the Somerset traffic, so leave a little earlier than feels necessary.
- 3.00 PM
Drinks on the lawn
Cider from the farm next door, and the good sparkling wine while it lasts.
- 5.00 PM
The wedding breakfast
Three courses in the barn. You'll have picked your main course on the reply card, so all you have to do is sit down.
- 8.30 PM
The first dance
Brief, heavily rehearsed, and still likely to go wrong. The floor is yours straight after.
- 12.00 AM
Carriages
Taxis from the gate at midnight. The numbers are below; book on the day, not at midnight.

The things everyone asks
Questions
- What should I wear?
- Suits, summer dresses, whatever you're happiest in one notch smarter than usual. The lawn is grass and the barn floor is old stone, so think twice about thin heels.
- Can I bring the children?
- We love yours, but this one is grown-ups only, babes in arms excepted. Consider it a night off with a free bar.
- What if it rains?
- It's Somerset, so it might. Everything except the lawn drinks can move inside the barn, and there are umbrellas in a bucket by the door.
- Can I take photos?
- During the ceremony we'd rather see your faces than your phones. Afterwards, take hundreds and send us the good ones.
