Area notes
Price ranges are what we have actually achieved in the last twelve months, not what the portals are asking.
The crescents, circuses and terraces built between 1760 and 1830, almost all of them listed. Buyers come for the proportions and stay for the light; they should also come prepared for sash windows, lime mortar and a conservation officer who has opinions.
Stock is tight. A well-presented five-bedroom terrace house rarely sits for more than six weeks.
Village in character, eight minutes on foot from Bath Spa station, and consistently the part of the city buyers discover second and prefer. Smaller houses, longer gardens, and a hill that keeps the traffic out.
The valleys beyond — Monkton Combe, Wraxall, Combe Down — run to larger houses with land, and a slower market that rewards patience on both sides.
