Terms and license

Who you are contracting with

GSAP Vault ("we", "us") is operated by JD, trading as GSAP Vault, based in the United Kingdom. Your licence, your account and everything else in these terms are between you and JD. Payments are processed by Stripe on our behalf; the licence and the product are governed here. If you buy from outside the UK, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Japan, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand and Iceland, Stripe acts as the merchant of record for the payment through its Onelink service: it takes the payment, adds and remits any tax due where you are, issues the receipt and handles any refund of that payment under its buyer terms. Your receipt says "Sold through Onelink" and your statement shows LINK.COM alongside our name. The product, the licence and your account are still governed by these terms and are between you and JD.

Acceptance. By browsing the site, creating an account or buying anything, you agree to these terms, the refund policy and the privacy notice. If you do not agree, do not use the site. Changes do not reduce the rights or access promised when you made an earlier purchase; see “Changes to terms” below.

Payment. Catalogue products, collection passes and the Vault are one-time purchases in pounds sterling, with no subscriptions, renewals or recurring charges. Separately sold software or services require a separate agreement to their price and payment terms. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay, plus any VAT or sales tax that applies where you are, which the checkout adds and shows before you pay. Where Stripe is the merchant of record, the checkout may show the price converted to your local currency; the sterling price is the basis for any refund or upgrade credit. Access is granted as soon as the payment succeeds.

License grant

When you purchase an effect from GSAP Vault, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the effect in your projects under the following terms:

• You may use each purchased effect in unlimited commercial projects
• You may use effects in unlimited personal/non-commercial projects
• You may modify the effect code to suit your project needs
• The license is granted to you personally and cannot be transferred to another person or entity
• Your projects, whoever builds them. The licence stays with the buyer, but it covers the buyer's projects, including those of a company the buyer owns or works for. Colleagues, contractors or an agency implementing a licensed product into one of those projects are covered for that work and need no purchase of their own. They may not use the files in projects of their own

What you can do

• Use the effect in as many projects as you like (websites, apps, SaaS, client work)
• Modify, adapt, and customize the effect code for your specific needs
• Use the effect in unlimited personal projects, prototypes, and learning exercises
• Ship it without crediting GSAP Vault: no attribution is required for our code. Bundled third-party assets keep their own terms (see Third-party assets)

What you cannot do

• Resell the effect code on its own, whether modified or unmodified
• Include in templates or themes sold on marketplaces (contact us if you need redistribution licensing)
• Include in UI kits, component libraries, or code snippet collections for sale or free distribution
• Build a competing product: you may not use effects to create an effects library, animation marketplace, snippet collection, or any product that competes with GSAP Vault
• Share, sublicense, or transfer your license to another person or company, or share your account or download for use outside your own projects
• Claim ownership of the original effect code or design

Multiple projects

A Standard License covers unlimited projects for that product. Buy it once and use it in as many websites, apps, or client projects as you like. The Vault extends the same terms to every included catalogue product line and its future releases, subject to the separate software and services provision below. A collection pass extends the same terms to one product line, current and future.

The Vault

The Vault (£99) is a one-time purchase that grants a standard license for every premium product in the included catalogue lines, current and future. This covers our effects and design assets, including website sections and ready-made styles. New catalogue lines are included unless expressly designated as separate software or services under the provision below.

• Bundle effects can be used across unlimited commercial projects
• Future releases in included catalogue lines are automatically included at no additional cost
• Separately offered software and services may be excluded as described below; an included catalogue product cannot be reclassified to remove your access
• Future releases are included when made available in covered catalogue lines. No particular new product, release schedule, quantity or continued catalogue expansion is promised.
• The bundle is a one-time purchase, not a subscription
• The bundle is non-transferable and tied to one account
• Every interactive course is free, including for company learners, and no purchase of any kind is required. Progress stays in the current browser, independently of any account. Clearing browser data removes it. Completing the labs unlocks a personal download generated on your device
• The bundle price rises as the catalog grows, and adding a product line is exactly the kind of growth that moves it. It can rise before you buy: there is no reserved price and no notice period. Once you own it, your purchase locks in access at the price you paid, and no later rise costs you anything
• The bundle does not include redistribution rights (themes, templates, kits); contact us for redistribution licensing
• Upgrade credit: if you already bought effects, templates or UI elements individually, that spend is deducted at checkout from the price of the first catalogue access product you buy, a section pass or the bundle, up to a maximum of £25, and it can only be used once. A section pass is different: the amount you actually paid for it is credited in full, pound for pound, with no cap, on top of whatever individual credit remains. Combined credit is limited so that a Vault checkout still charges at least the minimum card payment. You must be logged into the account that made those purchases; guest checkouts are credited too, via the account created for you at the time of purchase. The credit is a discount on an access product only: it is not a refund, has no cash value, and cannot be redeemed against anything else

Separate software and services

Catalogue access covers our effects and design assets, together with their included source code, documentation and updates. The website section library, including every layout and every ready-made style we release into that library, remains included in the Vault and the pass for that product line.

“Future releases included” describes access to qualifying releases if we publish them. It is not a commitment to produce new products or styles indefinitely. We may pause or stop adding to the catalogue or a product line. This does not remove your existing access or licence, or any support, updates or remedies you are otherwise entitled to.

We reserve the right to offer new standalone software products and services separately from the Vault and collection passes where they have ongoing maintenance, support, hosting, AI processing or other operating requirements. Examples include CMS plugins and extensions, website builders, style editors, AI tools and hosted services. These products are not automatically included merely because we build or sell them, or because they work with catalogue products.

Any exclusion will be clearly stated on the relevant product offer before purchase. Separately offered products may have their own one-time, subscription or usage-based charges; their price, scope, billing and cancellation terms will be shown before you choose to buy. They are included in a Vault or pass purchase only where that purchase offer expressly says so. Buying catalogue access does not enrol you in a separate service or authorise recurring charges.

This provision does not allow us to remove products already included in your purchase or to exclude ordinary updates to those products because they require maintenance. A separate purchase or subscription will not be required to access, download, customise or use your included catalogue products. Ending a separate subscription will not end your existing catalogue access or licences.

Earlier purchases: this provision does not remove or narrow any access, features or future-release commitments promised under the terms and offer when you bought. Those commitments continue to apply to your purchase.

Courses

The interactive courses are free for everyone since 9 September 2026, including every lab and a personal completion download. There is nothing to buy: the separate paid course product that existed before that date has been removed.

No account is required. Progress is saved in this browser and does not sync across devices. Clearing browser data removes it. Completion downloads are personal records generated on your device; they have no public verification page and are not an accredited qualification.

The service-availability terms below apply to the courses. Saved learning records remain with your account.

Section passes

A section pass is a one-time purchase that grants the standard licence for one complete product line:

• Effects Pass (£50): every current and future premium effect
• Templates Pass (£50): every current and future premium template
• UI Elements Pass (£50): every current and future premium UI element and component kit

• Products released into that line after your purchase are included at no additional cost, for as long as the line exists
• Future releases are included when made available in covered catalogue lines. No particular new product, release schedule, quantity or continued catalogue expansion is promised.
• A pass covers one product line only. It grants no access to the other lines
• A pass is a one-time purchase, not a subscription
• A pass is non-transferable and tied to one account
• The same usage terms apply as to individual purchases: unlimited personal and commercial projects, no redistribution, no competing products
• Pass prices may increase as the line grows. Your purchase locks in access at the price paid
• Upgrade to The Vault: the amount you actually paid for a pass is credited in full toward The Vault, pound for pound and uncapped, which is a different rule from the £25 cap on individual purchases. Individual spend already credited against your pass is not credited a second time. Credit is calculated from your account's purchase records at checkout, so you must be signed in; combined credit is limited so a Vault checkout still charges at least the minimum card payment. It is a discount on the upgrade, not a refund: it has no cash value and cannot be redeemed against anything else

Template license

Templates are complete page designs that include layout, navigation, footer, and coordinated animation effects. They are priced differently from individual effects:

• Template License (£10): Use in unlimited personal and commercial projects.

Templates follow the same usage restrictions as effects: no redistribution of source code, no sublicensing.

Technical skill requirements

GSAP Vault effects are designed for developers who are comfortable working with code. By purchasing, you acknowledge that:

• Effects require working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Integration into your project may require adapting the code to fit your specific setup, framework, or build system
• We provide clean, well-documented code and LLM-friendly comments to assist with customization, but we cannot provide implementation support for your specific project
• You are responsible for testing and debugging within your own environment

Refunds

The refund policy is its own document: gsapvault.com/refunds. In outline, if an individual product is not right for you, contact us within 14 days and we will work with you to put it right or refund you if we cannot, even if you have viewed, downloaded or tried the code; section passes and The Vault are reviewed case by case, at our discretion, taking into account the portion of the collection accessed or downloaded; anything faulty or not as described is put right at any time; and a refund revokes the licence for what was refunded. It does not affect your statutory rights.

Acceptable use

You must not use the site, your account or anything you buy here:

• for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights
• to commit fraud, including payment fraud, chargeback abuse, sharing accounts, or claiming a refund for code you have kept
• to interfere with the site's security or operation: no probing, scanning, malware, credential attacks, or attempts to bypass access controls or download protection
• to scrape, bulk-download or mirror the catalogue, demos or source, whether by hand, script or automated agent
• to send spam or unsolicited messages using anything obtained from the site

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account, and revoke the licences bought with it, if you materially breach these terms, if a payment fails or is reversed, if we reasonably suspect fraud or a security risk, or for repeated or serious breaches of the acceptable-use rules. We will tell you why unless the law prevents it or doing so would help the abuse continue. Where a purchase is refunded as part of that, the refund policy's revocation rules apply. You can close your account yourself at any time from your Library.

Intellectual property

All effects remain the intellectual property of GSAP Vault. Your purchase grants you a license to use the effect, not ownership of the underlying code or design. You may not claim the effect as your own original work.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is and as available. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always reachable, and we may change or withdraw parts of it, though your licence to code you have already downloaded is unaffected.

Effects are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that effects will be compatible with all browsers, frameworks, or environments. While we strive to provide high-quality, well-tested code, you are responsible for testing effects in your specific environment.

Accessibility and responsiveness

We strive to build effects and templates that work across devices and respect accessibility preferences:

• Effects include prefers-reduced-motion support where applicable
• Templates are designed with responsive layouts in mind
• However, we do not guarantee full WCAG compliance or perfect responsiveness across all devices and screen sizes
• You are responsible for testing and adapting effects/templates for your specific accessibility and responsive requirements

Service availability and file access

GSAP Vault provides access to purchased effects through your account Library. However:

• No guarantee of perpetual access: We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice.
• Download responsibility: You are responsible for downloading and maintaining your own copies of purchased effects. We strongly recommend downloading effects promptly after purchase.
• No hosting obligation: We are not obligated to host, store, or provide access to effect files indefinitely.
• Service discontinuation: In the event we discontinue the service, we will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice, but cannot guarantee continued file access after discontinuation.

Your license to use purchased effects remains valid regardless of service availability, provided you have downloaded the files.

Limitation of liability

GSAP Vault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the effects. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the effect(s) in question.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms for future purchases and will publish the revised wording and date on this page. The terms and offer applicable when you purchased continue to govern the access, licence and future-release commitments made for that purchase. Publishing revised terms, or your continued use of the site or purchased code, does not by itself reduce those commitments or authorise new charges. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

GSAP's own license (not this one)

This page is the licence for code written by GSAP Vault: the effects and templates you buy from this site. It is not GSAP's licence, and it does not restrict or extend your rights to the GSAP library itself.

GSAP is licensed to you separately and free of charge by GreenSock under the Standard “No Charge” GSAP License, which permits commercial use, client work included, at no cost, and which since GSAP 3.13 covers every plugin. The restriction that bears on most buyers is using GSAP to build a no-code visual animation tool that competes with Webflow, or reverse engineering it to build one; the licence names others, including a bar on removing GSAP's proprietary notices. That is a summary for orientation only, checked in August 2026: GreenSock's published text is the sole authority on its own terms and can change without notice to us.

Using a GSAP Vault product on a site therefore relies on two separate permissions: GreenSock's for the library, and this page's for our code. Buying from us grants the second only. Our licensing FAQ covers the difference in plain language.

Trademark disclaimer

GSAP Vault is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by GreenSock, Inc. or the GSAP library. "GSAP" and "GreenSock" are trademarks of GreenSock, Inc. We use these terms solely to describe compatibility with the GSAP animation library.

Third-party assets

Photography used across the GSAP Vault website, demos, and products is sourced from Unsplash under the Unsplash License or Pexels under the Pexels License.

Templates that use photography ship the image files with them, in assets/img/, so the template renders as demonstrated the moment you unzip it. These are art-directed derivatives: each photograph has been cropped, colour-graded, and converted to WebP to suit that template's design. Templates built without photography contain no image files. Individual effects generally ship no images at all; a small number bundle photography, on the same terms as below.

• Bundled images are provided as part of the design, so the product looks as shown. They are not a stock photography library
• Your license to the effect or template does not grant you a stock photography license to the underlying photographs
• You should substitute your own imagery before taking a project to production
• Where an assets/img-manifest.json file is present, it records the original source URL of every photograph, so you can review the licensing yourself

Where a product loads a photograph from a remote URL instead of bundling it, the same applies: that image is not ours to license to you, and remains subject to its source's licence. Point it at your own imagery for production use.

A few products bundle a 3D model or other asset made by someone else under a Creative Commons licence. The product page and the README name the asset, its creator and its licence. That licence, not ours, governs the asset:

• Where the licence requires attribution (such as CC BY 4.0), you must keep the credit when you publish: the creator's name, a link to the source and the licence, and a note that the asset was modified. A credits page or a small line near the effect is enough
• Our restrictions on redistribution do not apply to the asset itself; it remains available to everyone under its own licence
• Your GSAP Vault licence covers the code around it, and the no-attribution term above applies to that code only
