What members look for on a gym website

A gym site is visited in two moods. Someone deciding whether to join wants coaches, prices and a reason to book a first session. A member wants to know what is on today, in one glance, from their phone. Every template here treats the timetable as a working tool rather than a table pasted into a page: it can be filtered, today is marked, and a class links straight into a booking form that arrives pre-filled.

The fitness gym template is eight pages for class-based gyms, functional fitness, fitness racing and boxing. A live LED countdown in the hero counts to the next class, worked out from the weekly schedule in the gym's own time zone, and each class page has a player that runs the whole session in about twenty-five seconds. Every internal link drives the next page in with a sled-push transition. The strength gym template is six pages for a barbell club that sells a written programme: drag a real loaded barbell to set your one-rep max, and the Program page works out every week of a twelve-week block in plates.

Studios get a calmer register. The pilates studio template is seven pages with every class colour-coded by spring, a Choose your spring picker that finds the right class, and a page transition that slides the site sideways against four coloured springs. The yoga studio template is six pages for hot yoga, breathwork, saunas and spas: a temperature dial swaps the rooms inside the hero photograph, the full-week timetable lights up one class type across all seven days, and a pricing calculator recommends a drop-in, a ten-pack or a membership from how often someone comes.

Two widen the group. The physiotherapy clinic template is seven pages for physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths and massage clinics, with a "Where does it hurt?" body map that leads into treatment pages and a page change that opens through a disc grown from the point the visitor touched. The sports club template is six pages built like a matchday poster, with a fixtures rail you drag to change the poster, a season scrubber that replays the league table and a membership card builder.

How to put your timetable into a gym template

The schedule is the content that changes most, so it is plain data: written in the HTML, or kept in one schedule block that every page reads.

  1. 1

    Enter the real timetable first

Put your actual week in before touching the design. The countdowns, today markers and next-three-times lists are all worked out from that schedule, so they become correct the moment it is.

  2. 2

Check the time zone and hours

Live countdowns and now lines are calculated in the gym's own time zone, not the visitor's. Set yours so a member travelling abroad still sees the right next class.

  3. 3

Replace the coach portraits as a set

Coach and teacher portraits ship as a matched set with one grade. Shoot or grade yours the same way and swap them all together, at the same dimensions.

  4. 4

    Connect the booking form

First-session and booking forms validate and pre-fill from the timetable link, then end in an unsent request. Point them at a form service or replace them with your booking system's widget.

Frequently asked questions

Can members book classes through the site?

Not on their own. The booking forms are unwired front ends: they pre-select the class and time from the timetable link, validate the details and end in a request summary the visitor can copy or email. Point the form at Formspree or Netlify Forms, or replace it with your booking system's widget, such as Glofox, TeamUp, PushPress or Mindbody. There are no member accounts or payments.

How do I update the class timetable?

Edit the schedule. Depending on the template, classes are written as plain HTML or kept in one schedule block at the top of the script, and every page reads from it: the countdown, today's classes, the full week and each coach's week all update together. No animation code needs touching.

Will these suit a yoga studio, PT studio or clinic?

Yes. The pilates and yoga studio templates cover reformer, yoga, barre, dance, hot yoga, breathwork and sauna businesses. The strength gym template suits personal-training studios, powerlifting and weightlifting clubs, boxing clubs and climbing walls. The physiotherapy clinic template suits chiropractors, osteopaths, massage clinics and dental practices.

Can I put video in the hero?

The strength gym template is video-ready: set one attribute to your MP4 and a muted looping video plays over the hero photograph, with a pause button and a reduced-motion path. The others use bundled photography graded as one set, which you replace with your own.
