What a hotel or travel site has to answer

Someone booking a stay wants to see the rooms, know what is nearby, and find out whether their dates are free and what they will cost. Someone booking a trip wants the route, the days and the departures with places left. A hero photograph and an enquiry button answer none of that. These templates give rooms, availability, routes and local guides real structure, so the visitor arrives at the enquiry already decided.

The boutique hotel template is a single page for hotels, B&Bs, guesthouses, country retreats and wedding venues. A dark-green monogrammed contents rail sits beside a photographic cover, a room explorer keeps its selector and a large photograph visible together, a walking-distance dial filters the local guide, and a three-step enquiry builds a live stay summary. The holiday let template is seven pages for cabins, cottages and glamping: each stay has its own page and colour, a who's-coming filter folds away units that do not fit the party, and a drag-across-nights calendar prices every night on its own season.

The travel and tour template is a multi-page site for a tour operator, on a committed bougainvillea magenta with giant colour-on-colour headlines. Every trip has its own page where you drag along a measured climbing profile and a rider moves along the real route on a live map, with each village name rising as the rider reaches it. The outdoor adventure template is a single page with an expanding glass hero, a landscape aperture that opens with scroll, an interactive journey profile and full-bleed mountain photography.

The practical parts are treated as seriously as the photography. Calendars refuse to span nights already taken and check minimum stays and changeover days as the visitor drags. Maps use real tiles and load only as they near the screen. Links can open a booking already set to one cabin and one weekend, or an enquiry pre-filled with the trip and date.

How to put your rooms and dates into a hotel or travel template

Rates, seasons and availability are plain arrays and markup, so keeping them current is an edit rather than a rebuild.

  1. 1

    Describe each room or stay

Write the real rooms or units first. In the holiday let each stay has its own page and colour token, so adding a cabin is copying one page and adding one colour.

  2. 2

Set seasons, rates and taken nights

Availability, nightly rates, cleaning fees, minimum stays and changeover days are arrays and constants at the top of the script. Update them by hand or generate them from your own system.

  3. 3

Replace the photography as a set

Bundled photographs are baked to one grade so the place reads as one place. Swap them all for your own at the same dimensions.

  4. 4

Connect enquiries to your booking engine

Enquiry journeys are complete front ends that say plainly nothing was sent or reserved. Point them at your booking engine, a form service or your inbox before taking real guests.

Frequently asked questions

Can guests book and pay through the site?

No. The calendars show what is free and what a stay would cost, and the enquiry forms collect dates and guest details and validate them, but there is no backend, channel manager or payment step. Each confirmation says plainly that nothing was sent or reserved. Connect the enquiry to your booking engine, Formspree, Netlify Forms or your CRM.

How do I keep availability up to date?

Taken nights, rates and seasons are plain arrays at the top of the script. Keeping them current is a manual edit, or you can generate that block from your own booking system or calendar export on a schedule.

Do the maps need an API key?

No. The maps use MapLibre on OpenFreeMap tiles, which need no key or account, and load only as they near the screen. The tour template bakes each route and its heights into a local file, so it calls no routing or elevation service either.

Will one of these suit a B&B, glamping site or wedding venue?

Yes. The boutique hotel template is designed for B&Bs, guesthouses, country retreats and wedding venues as well as hotels. The holiday let template suits cabins, cottages and glamping units. The travel and tour template suits small-group tour companies, and the outdoor adventure template suits outdoor brands and retreats.
